NCR CLEARANCE PROCESS - COURT ORDER GRANTED

YOU ARE ONE STEP CLOSER TO REMOVAL OF THE DEBT REVIEW FLAG

NON-AFFIDAVIT NCR DEBT REVIEW CLEARANCE

Dear Valued Client

You have reached this page because the assessment of your debt review situation and the information you have supplied has indicated that there are factors that qualify you to challenge the debt review listing on your credit records. These facts indicate that the displayed debt review flag on your credit records might be unlawful or neglected or expired or you are ilegible for clearance of the flag. It is therefore concluded that the removal of the debt review flag from your credit records can be expedited by logging a dispute with the NCR in terms of Secton 136 of the NCA.

In terms of the NCA debt review regulations, the debt counsellor on record is under obligation and should be available to render after-care service for the consumer whom he conducted the debt review process for.

The after-care service entails and not limited to:

  • Monitoring the consumers' restructured debt payments progress as arranged by the court
  • Monitor the consumer's financial circumstances and update the consumer's file accordingly
  • Conduct assessment of the consumer's financial circumstances and where eligible, make recommendations for release from the debt review.
  • Issue a Clearance Certificate when the conditions of issuance are met

Where the debt counsellor is not rendering or not available (contactable) to render the after-care service as above, you are entitled to log a dispute with the NCR to review you debt review situation and impose prescribed regulations to remove the debt review flag from your credit records.

    The NCR Clearance Procedure:
  1. We log the dispute/removal request with NCR
  2. The NCR shall peruse the debt review documents and procedure for compliance.
  3. The NCR shall interrogate the debt counsellor on the matter of after-care service
  4. The NCR shall enforce non-compliance regulations and procedure to desolve the debt review
  5. The NCR shall Update the DHS (Debt Help System)
  6. The DHS shall Transmit Debt Review Flag Removal Instructions to the Credit Bureaus.
  7. The Credit Bureau shall remove the debt review flag within 7 - 21 days
